Cannot view XML in Internet explorer 6.0

I can't seem to get internet explorer to respond to any XML whatsoever. It
just seems to simply ignore it. Does internet explorer no longer support XML?
 
I don't have any sort of Netscape product other than java installed on my
computer. I've heard that there were errors because of netscape, but I do
not have netscape whatsoever.
 
I have Windows XP and Service Pack 1. I don't wish to download service pack
2. It causes problems for my computer.

That's not really the way it works. What XML support do you have
installed?

That's a very old tool but the XMLVersionText can still show
useful information.

I had the same problem after installation on Netscape 8.0
I found a reason. Netscape added several keys into the Windows registry:

I removed it manually from registry, but it wasn't enought. I stiil could
not see XML files.

But then I ran "regsvr32 msxml3" and it works now.
 
hello, i have the same problem, cant view XML in Internet Explorer 6.0 sp2. I
even tried to reinstall and update the IE .. even resetting all default
settings but nothing to no avail. all i see in my IE browser is an empty page
when opening an xml document where it shouldnt be that case. There's nothing
wrong when i open it in Netscape 8.0 it shows all the xml data/schema. but
with IE. just an empty page. no error or whatsoever? any one who could help??

Ha! Netscape could be the cause! There was a blog comment
about this a few months ago...
