Cannot View Contacts in Address Book

One of our users recently upgraded to Office XP and is
not able to view contacts in address book. I have
visited the knowledge base and tried everything in
Outlook Help to no avail.

One option was to go to the properties of the contact
folder and go to the Outlook Address Book tab and check
the "Show this folder as an e-mail address book".
However, that option was greyed out. I uninstalled and
reinstalled Office XP.
