I am trying to burn vcds from the movie maker program that can be viewed on
my home DVD player. They burn fine and I can view them through the windows
media player but I cannot view them on my home DVD player. Is there any way
I can do this by changing something in movie maker or is there a program that
I can take my video to that will allow me to do this.

Movie Maker cannot create VCDs or DVDs that are
playable on a home DVD player. You need to use
some other software to do that.

Hello Breezy,
Because you didn't mention your own setup; Brand & Model I could not guess much. Don't keep it secret if you like us diagnose your
problem by following through the company and exactly pinpoint to your model of equipment. Mention also the software you used to
burn that CD. It's true to all recordable discs and even DVD as most old players can not play them.

Because all good teachers likes to impart what they knows and not only that but because they learn it first. Hope everybody can do
the same by shedding light of any observation, clue, hint or solution, etc.

At home I have 4 different brand PC and 4 different brand of DVD Players and not every players can play SVCD and DVD of my
creation BUT I can easily play those commercial CD-ROM (audio & video) and Video DVD-ROM (movie). If I only know your Player Brand
& Model I can tell it capability.

Later I bought a DVD-RW BenQ Model DW1620 and a enclosure case to make it more portability, plug & play and dual interface USB &
1394. One of the software of BenQ is called Book Type Management Ver 8.3. Now I can easily change from DVD-R to DVD-ROM or vice
versa and all equipment at home can now play. I should change it before any DVD-+R recording begin and not DVD-+RW disc even after
recording.

Regarding your VCD, if you're using Nero-6 you can also choose to make VCD-ROM or vice versa. Are you also using Windows Explorer
to burn?

Tell us if this helps,

HEllo,

As has already been mentioned by Bob, Movie Maker can not make VCD or SVCD
(or DVD)

You can download the 30 day triel of Nero 6 from www.nero.com The module
you want is number 2 (I think) it contains Nero Vision Express 3 Its a
simple program with some very nice features I use it all the time.
