Cannot use USB-stick although the PC found it

I was suddenly disconnected by using my PNY Attache USB-stick. After that my
PC still found it and recognized it, but didn't find any volume on it. I
deinstalled the stick; after that, the system recognized the stick again, but
- still the same - doesn't find any volume and I cannot work with it.
Anyone an idea?

Re-format it. The sudden disconnect might have corrupted it.
