Cannot use original IBM 101 Keyboard (KB571), computer hangs

I have a good old SOLID original IBM 101 key keyboard (KB
571) that I adore. I cannot get it to work. The computer
hangs at the Welcome screen and I cannot enter my password.
Is there a driver for this old guy or a change of settings
in XP that will allow it to work correctly.

Well maybe it's time to part with the KB have you
tried using another KB and does that work. Try
another KB get your system up and running and try
switching back and see what happens

If you "adore" your keyboard you have bigger problems than
whether or not the keyboard works.
