Went to Fry's and bought a new MB, New Hard drive and new
processor. Asked for XP Home upgrade. The sales guy told
me he would include the full version since I was buying
hardware, I agreed. After I installed my new hard drive
and other stuff, I transferred all my old data to the new
hard drive. When I tried to upgrade my Win 98 with the
full Home version, it says I can only do a new install and
lose all my data. I don't want to lose anything, that is
the point of upgrading! Now I am left with losing
everything, or not upgrading. I need to know if I have any
other options. Thanks!

Go back to store and tell the guy that you NEED the upgrade version to
upgrade an existing installation. Nicholas is right. It sounds like you've
been OEM'ed.
Or, if you have a CD burner, burn all data to CD's and do a clean install.
(favorites, address book, email directory, my documents, etc...) If you need
the locations of these or how to back them up, repost.
