cannot update public folder calendar

Hello

We are running Exchange 2003 and most of our clients are using Outlook 2003.
Some users are using OUtlook 2002.

The problem I have is that our users create calendar events for a dept to
view via public folders. Public Folders is where the master calendar resides,
these calendars are also mail enabled.
Thus, when the user creates a calendar event she includes the mail enabled
public calendar and the event is automatically accepted. However, when an
update needs to be made or the event should be deleted, it is not removed
from the public calendar. Instead the public caledar displays a duplicate
entry with the updated information, instead of modifying the existing
calendar event. They have to go to the upblic calendar and manually remove
the original event.
The user is designated as an OWNER of the public calendar via permissions,
client permissions.
Has anyone seen this before? Can this be worked around or setup differently
to avoid manually modifying or deleting the original event?

Hi Mark,

Do you have an assoicated User account assigned to these resourses, so you
can actually logon and go into Outlook as the resourse.

If you go into Outlook, Tools - Options - Preferences Tab - Calendar Options
- Resource Scheduling, there are a few options in there that might be worth
you looking at
