One my users is unable to type anything in the body of the
e-mail, either new or reply. She can type anywhere else,
including the To and Subject lines of an e-mail but when
she gets to the body the cursor does not appear and
attempting to type gets her one ~ and that's it. I have
even given her a new keyboard although I know that wasn't
the cause.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Are you using Word or Outlook as the e-mail editor? Does changing the editor
makes a difference? Does this happen for Plain Text, HTML or Rich Text
messages?

It is set to HTML using Outlook. Setting to anything else
conflicts with another propriatary insurance industry
software we use. However, changing to Word as editor does
allow her to type. Very odd. I have over 50 others users
all set to HTML using Outlook and hers is the only one
with this problem. Unless someone has other thoughts
she'll have to change back and forth if she uses Word in
our other software.

Do a repair on Internet Explorer. Outlook uses those HTML components.
