Cannot turn off windows fire wall

I go to turn off windows fire wall, but the box to check it to turn it off is
greyed out so i am unable to check it. how to fix?

Is your computer part of a network? If that's the case, the domain
administrator may have configured Windows Firewall using Group Policy which
can't be bypassed by a normal user.
