I have used Ghost forever to reclone a single Windows 2000 Server (Server1)
withou any problems. Recently I added a Server2 to the Domain as a backup
domain server. All worked well. A few days ago I Ghosted an image of Server2
so I could recover quickly from any screwups. Yesterday I recloned Server 2
with the previously working image and much to my dismay, Server2 is no longer
recognized as part of the Domain. I used svrmgr.exe to try to re-sync... but
no luck. I am not familiar with the dcpromote.exe utility. Can I demote
Server2 to a stand alone Server and then promote it back using the same name,
to rejoin the Domain without loosing any of the config of my newly installed
Exchange Server2003 residing on Server2? Any work around would be appreciated.
I could really use some help with this issue!
