Ok, heres my problem....

I am running w2k server and we have a website that is
hosted off site. The servers can go to the website just
fine but clients within the office cannot. When they try
to access the website they get a page cannot be displayed.
I was told that somewhere in my dns settings I have
something that tells the client how to find the website. I
cannot find it, does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advanced.

Hello,

Is the website name and the domain name the same?

Just create a www record and give it the external server's IP address.

I had the same problem. I created a new host in DNS
pointing to the web site and it worked for me. See
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 300679 for details. It
refers to small business server but it still worked for me
using Windows 2000 Advance Server SP4

Ok, heres my problem....
Add an A record in your DNS pointing to the IP of the off-site web
server.

Hello All,

If I am understanding you correctly, you should be able to create an
alias record of "www" and point it to the host record that used for the
website.
