I am running XP Pro. and when I try to run the Network
Setup Wizard part way thru the process I get an error
message ---- Spooler problems ---- and then I get a
message to report errors to microsoft. Per the screen I
have sent the errors to microsoft. Any ideas what else I
can do ????

Is this computer running XP Service Pack 1? (Start -> Run... -> "winver")
What was on the wizard page at the point where the error message happens?
(i.e. what is the wizard trying to do when it hits the error?)
Also is there a certain functionality or feature you are trying to enable by
running this wizard? If so there may be another way to accomplish this.

I am running XP SP1 . I had gotten all the way thru the
wizard with the work group names , computer names, etc.
and it was in the process of (what appears) trying to
write the data that I had just entered to possibly a file
somewhere (message at bottom of dialogue "this may take a
few minutes") after possibly 30 to 45 seconds maybe
longer I get a message

"Spooler SubSystem App has encountered a jproblem and
needs to close. " and then beneath this message is the
typical message "Please tell Microsoft about this
problem. .....Send Error Report button "

This is what I was trying to do --- this pass weekend I
decided to take my system down and open up the computer
and clean out the inside of dust, etc. And when I put
everything back together I noticed that I could not see
my other computers on the network nor could I see this
computer from the others. When I looked at
my "Connections" from the start menu my network workgroup
was not there. I have been trying ever since to find out
what happened. Other than clean the insides of my
computer I have done nothing to this machine.
