Cannot Share Printer in Win2K Professional

I have a Dell Laptop running Win2K professional. I'm
currently direct printing (via USB) to an HP PSC-2210
multifunction printer. I wanted to share it across the
network, but when I selected printer properties and tried
to enable sharing, I received a generic error message
indicating that sharing wasn't possible. What might cause
this?
