Cannot set print margins

I am using XP SP2 and IE6. Under File->Page Setup, my network printer is
showing 0 for all four margins. I am not able to change these. If I do try to
change them, they revert back to 0 again the next time I select File->Page
Setup. I have tried changing these values in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\internt explorer\PageSetup, but the
values I enter in here are not shown under File->Page Setup.

The same printer allows me to set margins in all other applications like
Word and Excel.

I use Outlook 2003 and since Outlook uses IE to print, I am not able to
print my emails without text on the left and right being cut off.

I tried to search for a solution to this problem but have not come across
one. I am beginning to think that I am the only person who can't change print
margins in IE6.

Does anyone have any clue how to solve this problem.

Thanks a lot.

It might be a security program blocking the Registry changes it needs to
make. A few, but not all, of the programs now doing this are:
Ad-aware's Ad-Watch
IBM Access Connections
McAfee VirusScan and/or Antispyware
Norton AV
Spyware Blaster
Spybot> Tools> IE Tweaks
Spybot- Teatimer
Spysweeper
Spyware Doctor
Windows Defender
Zone Alarm (free) 6.5 Reported to be fixed in later versions.

In the case of Zone Alarm 6.5 or Norton 2007 it actually has to be
uninstalled. Make sure the Windows Firewall is turned on until you
reinstall Zone Alarm.

Boot into Safe Mode with Networking and try the changes.

Thanks for your response Frank. I do not have any of those programs on my
machine. What I do have is a personal firewall program called AVG but I tried
turning that off and rebooted and did the changes in the registry and they
still had no effect.

I am the administrator on my machine so I can't think what is preventing me
from changing the print margins. I've looked at group policy etc and found
nothing there either.

Very frustrating.

Thanks anyway.
