Does anyone know how to set the connections settings in IE7 so that the "Never
Dial a Connection" will hold? IE7 always ges back to "Dial whenever a network
connection is not present." I have an alternative dial-up number to use when the
cable is down, and every time the cable slows down the dial-up screen pops up.

Is there a registry setting for this? Or do I have to delete the Dialup number?

I have IE7, reinstalled and fully updated, XP Pro, SP2, fully updated.

Thanks.

Ken

One or more options/settings in an ever-growing number of third-party
applications may be disallowing the change(s) from "sticking". These include
but are not limited to Ad-aware's Ad-Watch, Spybot Tea Timer,
SpywareBlaster, SpySweeper, Spyware Doctor, Norton AntiVirus, McAfee
VirusScan and/or Antispyware, and Zone Alarm (Free and Pro).

Sorry--didn´t realize there was that other newsgroup.

Actually, this problem was present in IE6, as well.

I´m going to look for leftover Norton stuff, as usual, and then I´ll post it on
the other group if I have to.

Thanks.

If Norton AntiVirus was running when you installed IE7, you've probably got
even worse problems, Ken.
