cannot set a page to be the first page

i'm a I.E 6.0 user, i want to ask why i can't set a page
to be the first page, because in the setting first page
icon, all are disabled. could anyone give me some
suggestions?

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
