Win2k Server and clients.
When I log in locally to a machine I can send e-mail (OE clients) without a
problem. When I log into the domain I get various unknown error messages
when trying to send, plus this one "the server responded 503.5.5.2 waiting
for rcpt command" Occassionaly, if I select Tools-recieve all", I can send
an e-mail. The error messages do not mention 550 or relaying.

We are hosting our e-mail externally, we can get incoming pop mail without a
problem and our isp has told us multiple times that they are not blocking
port 25.
Our firewall show smtp going out with no problems.
We just switched our dns to a new company, and it is pointing to them
correctly

Any Ideas, Is something messed up in AD or DNS?

Thanks

Does the IP of your SMTP hostname match up the same when logged in and not?

If no, then consider finding out what DNS servers are running on the network
and what they have for MX records for your domain. This is especially true
if your email domain is the same as your Windows Domain.

If yes, then it's a routing or permissions or firewall or some such issue.
