Suddenly I can no longer SEND outgoing emails in my
Outlook Express 6. I can compose but when I click send I
get an error msg that connection to the server was
interupted #0x800ccc0f and the message gets put in my
outbox and goes nowhere. The Microsoft Outlook error page
stated that the problem could be caused by using a
Linksys router, that there may be a misconfigured router
in the path. I tried system restore to an earlier day in
the week when everything worked fine. This did nothing
for me. I also changed the MTU setting for the router and
still it does not work. Interestingly enough, my Yahoo
emails work just fine. Any suggestions on what I can do
to get my Outlook Express to send email? Also, Is anyone
else having this problem?

Me again...I took your mention of the LinkSys router and
checked mine -I enabled MTU at 1492 and disabled "Block
WAN request" and my problem has vanished.

Hi Sharon! This is Babs. Did you find a solution to this?
My Mom has '98 and she can receive email, but the
connection shuts down if she hits "Send". I've done the
virus scan on the machine (remote) and am trying to find
out why Outlook may do this. It may be a virus issue with
their ISP, but if you find any troubleshooting help I
will be greatly appreciative. Thanks! Babstx
