Cannot send or recieve emails, error number:0x800CCC0F

hi,

my operating system is Microsoft XP, and using Outlook express 6. I am
unable to send or recieve emails. I get the message: Your server has
unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include
server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account:
'Paradise Email', Server: 'pop3.paradise.net.nz', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
Please can anyone help?

What little bit that shows of your incoming email settings in this error
message, look to be correct. Wouldn't hurt to check them with the ISP
though.

That leaves a problem at the mail server (not fixable on your end). Or
perhaps a problem with firewall settings. Most of the time when I see this
error it is due to a temporary problem with the ISP's email server. Until
they fix it, no email comes in.
