Hello - I am all of a sudden experiencing send/receive issues for all of the
email accounts I have set up in Windows Mail. The accounts have been set up
for a while and were working fine through yesterday morning, and then all of
a sudden I started receiving the following error message for each of them:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: '(e-mail address removed)', Server: 'imap.secureserver.net',
Protocol: IMAP, Server Response: '', Port: 143, Secure(SSL): No, Error
Number: 0x800CCC0F
I did not make any changes to the account settings that had previously been
working fine. I've tried disabling email scanning as suggested in some of the
other threads on this forum, but that didn't work. I am able to receive
messages through the web interface of my email provider, so the issue is
definitely with Windows Mail.
I'm using McAfee for AntiVirus, etc., Comcast is my ISP, and I'm using
wireless (which is connected to my own Comcast connection, so it's not going
through to another ISP). As with my account settings, none of this changed in
any way before I started experiencing this error message.
So I'm stumped. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated![Smile :) :)](/styles/default/custom/smilies/smile.gif)
thanks in advance!
