I read back through the newsgroup, but did not find an
answer.

As of yesterday afternoon, I cannot send emails. I
receive emails just fine. My isp allows me to use a
different SMTP. My SMTP and POP3 settings are the same
and accurate. I have tried setting up the outgoing
server to use the same settings as my incoming server and
alternatively i have providing the login information for
the SMTP.

I am using Outlook 2002 on XP's Home Edition v. 2002.

When I try to send an email a small window pops up asking
me to "Enter Network Password" and leaves rooms for me to
adjust the Server, User Name and Password.

When I test my accoun settings, I get the following
message:

Send test e-mail message: Unable to logon to the outgoing
mail server (SMTP). Please verify your SMTP server and -
if your server requires authentication - the
authentication information on the 'More Settings' pages.

As I said all of the information I have entered in
correct and my isp has no issue with me using a different
SMTP.

I should say that this has happened before. I don't know
how it got resolved, but I'd like to sort it out once and
for all or know how to resolve to problem faster. Having
email down for 1+ days is a problem.

I hear you. Do you use antivirus or firewall software,
like Norton's Antivirus, or ZoneAlarm Pro? It may not be
Outlook, or the utilities, but a conflict between the two.

This past Monday (7/28/03), I was sending and receiving e-
mails using multiple e-mail addresses all set up as
separate accounts on Outlook (I am running the 2000
version). Late in the day, I could not send e-mail through
one specific account. The error message I got was
"a TCP/IP error occurred . . . error # 0x800ccc13." By
today (7/31/03) the problem has spread to my other e-mail
accounts, as well, and the error message added "error #
0x800ccc0f" to the mix.

The TCP/IP error seems to be the widest umbrella problem,
since it involves network setup, as well as registry
protocols.

As the one article says about error # 0x800ccc13, "This
problem may occur if you try to send a message from a Post
Office Protocol version 3 (POP3) account when you have the
Microsoft Exchange Service Account and a POP3 service in
the same profile."

Error 0x800ccc0f involves the conflict between antivirus
or firewall software and Outlook.

I know this isn't a 1-2-3 fix it, but perhaps you'll find
a solution to your problem in one of these places.

Thank for trying to help. The fixes did not work. The
error message I get now is 0x800ccc92. I tried disable
the Norton Antivirus software, but that did not help
either. Any additional suggestions? Thanks.
