Kathy

I have Zoomtown. Recently I have not been able to send email. i can recieve
and reply. There is no error msg when i "send & recieve all" Zoomtown says
all my connections are good on their end. Thanks.

What happens when you click on Send? Is a copy of the sent message
placed in the Sent Items folder? Or does it stay in the Outbox folder?
What happens when you send an email to yourself?

The copy is in the sent items-not in the outbox folder.
I cannot sent email "test" to myself Thanks

Which antivirus are you running? Some of them cause problems with
Windows Mail. Make sure the antivirus is not configured to scan emails.

Email scanning in any antivirus should be disabled, for reasons
explained here:
http://thundercloud.net/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htm

If no improvement after disabling email scanning, consider upgrading
to Windows Live Mail, because it is less prone to suffering bad effects
from overly intrusive antivirus programs:

Hi Gary, this is the error msg I get now:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject 'Re: ', Account: 'Zoomtown Mail', Server:
'smtp.zoomtown.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number:
0x800CCC0F.
Thanks for any help.

"Unexpectedly terminated" is usually caused by interference from an
antivirus program. Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus should be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

Email scanning in any antivirus should be disabled, for reasons
explained here:

Hi Gary,
Sorry I forgot to tell you that I have Trend Micro Antivirus.
I cnnot figure out how to shut off email scanning.

Your problem is most likely caused by your antivirus.
Trend Micro antivirus is among the top three troublemakers for Windows Mail.
First, go into its settings and disable any interaction with email, then try
Windows Mail again. Sorry, I don't have that program, so I can't advise you
where its settings are. If no improvement, do a trial uninstall of the antivirus
or upgrade to Windows Live Mail.
