When I try to send email from my Outlook 2003 program I get error
message0x800CCC0D: 'Unable to find the e-mail server. Please verify the
server information in your account properties.'

My incoming mail server is mail.worldviewsgis.com and my outgoing server is
stmp.east.cox.net

The account was working fine on my previous laptop, but I'm now I have a new
one (Dell Precision M70) and along with it, this problem. The new computer
has McAfee Security Center on it, the old one had Norton.

Can anybody help me out - I'm very frustrated at this point.

That's one of the things I need help with - I believe the settings are
correct, but how can I check? I believe they are the same settings that
worked on my previous computer. The old computer was using an older version
of Outlook and had Norton rather than McAfee security software.

If this is what you have, no wonder you're having problems. The correct
server name should be smtp.east.cox.net, not stmp...

There have been reports of problems with McAfee Security Center and Outlook.
Make sure that Outlook is a trusted program in the MSC firewall settings and
that you have disabled the mail scanning feature of the antivirus.
