(sorry for the double-post)
This is a followup to my previous post. I was wondering if the problem
might be related to the recent installation of Symantec Mail Security. Or
does the Reverse DNS Lookup test reveal the problem:

We cannot send email to Yahoo, AOL or Hotmail. We have a Small Business
Server 2000, Exchange has SP3.

I do a Reverse DNS lookup at http://www.dnsstuff.com/ (cool site!), it
returns:

*ERROR* A record does not point back to original IP.

Is that a problem? Is that THE problem?

Many thanks in advance!!!

You need to contact your ISP about this, they own the IP addresses and
unless they have delegated the reverse lookup zone to you, they will need to
create the correct PTR records.

Or use a Smart Host (relay to your ISP's SMTP servers) as Susan suggested on
your other post.

Yes, that is an option I have recommended, too.

Not being clairvoyant, we cannot tell you. Tell us the error messages
that your mail system is presenting to you, and we'll tell you whether
they have any relation to what DNSStuff has reported (or, indeed, any
relation whatever to your DNS service).
