I cannot send e-mails, I keep getting error messages, asking for pop3 or
stmp

Any help, thanks

Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

I believe that your incoming is POP3 and your server is:
(all lower case) smtp.followed by your server name. For instance:

mine is: smtp.embarqmail.com

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '(e-mail address removed)'. Subject '',
Account: 'mail.platinum.ca', Server: 'mail.platinum.ca', Protocol: SMTP,
Server Response: '553 your IP (74.198.148.46) is on our block list', Port:
25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 553, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

Like the error message says, your IP address has been placed on a block
list, probably for sending spam. Spam blocks typically last only 24 hours,
so this problem may already have cleared up for you.

Looks like you were sending via Rogers Wireless. One way to get around
the block is to use the Rogers Wireless SMTP server. Another way is to get
a free Gmail account and use it for sending. One should always have
alternate SMTP services available in case your primary one goes down.
