Cannot select recipients / Kan geen geadresseerden kiezen

I have been working with Windows Mail for a while. When I compose a new email
and I click on the "To" button, I used to get a list of all my contacts. Then
I could select one or more contacts.

As of today I get a message "Cannot select recipients" (Kan geen
geadresseerden keizen).
The contacts are there, because if I try to add a contact already in the
list, it says that is already exists.
If I open Explorer and goto Contact persons, I can see them all without a
problem.

So I just seem not to be able to select them any more from the New Mail
window.

Any suggestions what is causing this?
 
I have seen scattered reports of similar problems after the latest batch
of Windows Update, but no definitive analysis or solution. You can try
uninstalling the Windows updates one by one, latest first. Be sure to
reboot and retest after each uninstall.

I expected that more or less, but before start deleting updates one by one, I
thought I check here first.

The culprit is the update with number KB933928. After removing this one it
works again.
