I have an NT domain. I am running serveral Win 2000
servers. Recently 1 of the serveral Win 2000 servers is
not showing up in Network Neighborhood. In XP, I can map
a drive to a share via the Share URL. I can ping the
server. However my NT machines will not create the drive
mapping. I would like to know how I can allow this
machine to be seen again. It is not hidden and the
registry entry relating to this is not enabled.

Check and make sure that the NT server has the Computer
Browser or Browser service (forget exactly the name)
turned on and ONLY the NT server. Make sure this service
is turned off on all other machines. This should make the
server the Master Browser for the domain and you should
see the listing of your machines again in Network
Neighborhood.

enable netbios

Check and see if netbios over tcp/ip is enabled it may be disabled and this will stop the server seeing the network and you seeing the server. You will find this in Wins.
