Hello,

I have two computers connected wirelessly via Netgear
MR814 router. One is a windows XP laptop, and other is a
Windows 98 PC. I gave the same workgroup for both the
computers, verified that "Client for Microsoft Networks",
TCP/IP, File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks
is available on both the computers. I just cannot see one
computer from another.

What am I missing ? Do I have to enable some port
forwarding on the router ? If so, what service and port
numbers they would be ?

Any help and suggestions are appreciated,

Thanks,
Srini

Srini,

no, port forwarding refers only to access to one of your
computers from outside, from the Internet.

Please have a look at http://www.michna.com/kb/WxNetwork.htm.

Did anyone reply to your question? I have teh same problem

Paul,

replies are given here in the newsgroup, so others can benefit.
If any, you could see them. Now there is one (by me). :-)

To all: Some people also reply by mail, but that's usually not
encouraged.
