IE is not rendering bmp image of a web page hit counter
on Win XP. The PC has SP2 installed in it. The hit
counter is visible on other Windows OSs and Mac OSX as
well. Could somebody tell me, if this is a SP2 issue? And
if it is, any reason why this is happening? Thanks a
bunch in advance.

I am having the same problem. I have a web site I am developing for my
leather www.route66leatherman.com , I have installed a counter on it but
can't see it. They tell me at suport that they can see the counter, with
green numbers. on their computer but I can only see a square with the word
counter in it. Can anyone tell me what could be set wrong on my computer? I
have windows XP Home SP-2 a legal copy.
Someone told me it could be my java settings. I don't think I have java. I'm
not even sure it is java that won't let me see the counter. Any help would
be appreciated. Thank You

Probably nothing. It might even be that the image file is cached on their
system from another use. Ask them to press Ctrl-F5 and see if they
still see the same thing.

FWIW I get the same result that you do. However, if you have
checked: Always expand ALT text for images (Options, Advanced tab)
you can see your counter value by hovering over the counter image
with your mouse.

BTW what's with all the blue boxes with red bars? They seemed
to take a long time to load/render? Oh! They're some kind of button?
FYI the black text on the blue button is *unreadable* and there is
no ALT text for them and the link doesn't give me any clue about
their purpose either.

Hello Robert, Nice to meet you. I haver my mouse over the counter it says
Vdeck.objustcounter.98, I assume the 98 is visitors count. I cant see
anything but the word counter in an oblong box.
The reason it is taking so long to load is that i need to remove the
picture of the products in the square below the double Route 66 sign, I also
need to remove it. I want the page to load faster. This is new to me and I
wanted to replace the templates of the Computer and the other blur graphics
with my own, but mine loads way to slow.
The buttons are to pages and all are clearly visible on my 2 computers.
They take you to each level of my products if you click in the boxes. This
builder template puts three places to take yo to the pages inside my site. I
still can't figure out why the counter is not on this computer but does on my
other one. I built and am building the site only on this machine that is not
showing the counter, any further help you can give me will be greatly
appreciated. Do you mean that when you put your pointer over one of the
boxes it does not take yo to another page? There are 16 pages on the site
they start with home then product info and then contact info.

Thanks Robert

Charles
