Cannot save to DV-AVI

once I try to save my slide show to this format, it won't save it..it's
almost like the screen freezes up...I can't save to any format? I made one
slide show and it worked fine but now I can't do anything...any ideas?

MM is designed as a video editing app and doesn't always work well with
stills, particualrly if they are jpeg's. Bitmaps are often better, and using
photostory 3 is even better still.
