I have occaisonally tried restoring to a previous state and my pc will almost through the whole process and then when it reboots, the screen reads "Can not restore". Can anybody explain to me the things I need to tweak to make it work?

The system volume (restore files)are corrupted,You need
to shut off system restore and reboot, once rebooted turn
system restore back on and create a manual restore point.
This happens. It also deletes all restore points, but
since their not working anyways no big deal.

Hi

Right click on My Computer, select Properties and then the System Restore tab. Enable 'Turn off System Restore on all drives' - reboot your PC. After the reboot go back into the System Restore options and uncheck 'Turn off System Restore on all drives'. Reboot your PC again - SR will then create a new Point for your PC.

you restore service may be disabled
