I have one Server running Active directory, DNS and RAS. I setup one Forward lookup zone named crader.com with type Active Directory integrated. All my DNS is done off-site, so i added my ISP's DNS to the forwaders tab. Also i made sure my DNS server has NOT been configured as a Root Server during the Active Directory installation process. I have no error messages in event viewer. The problem is when i try to resolve www.crader.com it says page connot be displayed. Also when i do a nslookup www.crader.co
it displays
*** Can't find server name for address 10.1.1.6: Non-existent domai
Server: localhos
Address: 127.0.0.

DNS request timed out
timeout was 2 seconds
*** Request to localhost timed-ou

Can someone please help.

In your internal DNS forward lokup zone for crader.com create a new host
name www point it to the IP of the web site which is: 206.163.82.190
Server: kjweb.lsaol.com
Address: 192.168.0.2

Non-authoritative answer:
www.crader.com canonical name = crader.com
crader.com
crader.com
Server: kjweb.lsaol.com
Address: 192.168.0.2

Name: crader.com
Address: 206.163.82.190

The nslookup message is caused because there is no PTR record for 10.1.1.6
IP you can ignore that or create the reverse lookup and PTR.

You should remove the 127.0.0.1 loop back from TCP/IP properties it will
cause registration problems you don't need an alternate DNS unless you add
another local DNS server. Do not put your ISP's DNS in there for sure.

Thanks,

The www record worked.

For the 127.0.0.1 loopback i do not have that setup in my TCP/IP properties. I only have the IP Address of my DNS server which happens to be the same server. Will this cause a problem. What should be there?

According to this it is using 127.0.0.1

You need to create a host record named "www" in the crader.com zone on your DC/DNS server. This server thinks that it's
authoritative for the crader.com domain so it will not forward requests for this domain to any other server.

Thank you,
