Cannot reset TS session

I am connecting to a W2K TS server via my TS client on my
XP pro PC. Whilst running a TS session I hit Alt + F4 to
close the current window. I got a message saying this
function has been disabled. The session will not let me do
anything on the desktop except disconnect. When I
reconnect I am back at the 'frozen desktop' with the same
message. I have used Computer Manageer on the server to
disconnect the session, but this does not seem to work
either.

Does this also happen when you log in as Administrator? Sounds as if
you have a restrictive policy in place?
Could you post the *exact* text of some of the messages you get? Does
the EventLog give any information?

If you go to the start menu, can you manually log yourself
out? I'm a little shaky on details here.

I cannot go to the Start menu as the session is frozen.

I can only disconnect by closing the session window at the
top of my XP pro desktop.

I am a member of the Administrators group.

The message in quotes is what I get whenever I log in on a
TS session now.

"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in
place on this computer. Please contact your system
administrator"

I can only get around this by logging in on a second
session from the same machine.

How do I disconnect the other session, without being taken
back to that same 'frozen' screen every time?

Can you disconnect or reset the session from within Terminal
Server Administrator?
Have you checked if there are any restrictive policies in effect
(with gpresult from the Resource Kit)?

When did this start happening? Were any changes made to the system
prior to this?
