Cannot reset start page

Every time I restart my computer, the start page is reset
to www.searchdot.net despite my efforts to change it. I
have used MS internet explorer toos tab to change it and
regedit to find occurances of searchdot.net then change it
to www.google.com with no success. Assistance would be
appreciated.

Your system was inspect by spyware, this way as below can tell you how to

You should install and run an up-to-date antivirus program. You may also
want to download a good spyware killer program.

I think you may have this virus:
