I am tring to set up 2 email accounts and can send/receive fine in one, can
only send but not receive in the other, using Windows Mail

Kerri,

I and several other people have had the same problem. Go to

www.oehelp.com/wmutil

and download Steve's utility to your desktop per his instructions. Then use
the utility, after unzipping, and compact your e-mail and the problem will
go away. It did for me and hopefully will for you. Also in the future,
compact your e-mail every time the dialog box appears asking if you want to
compact your e-mail.

Good luck and let me know what happens.

Please read the messages much more closely before you jump to the conclusion
that each and every email problem is the same as yours was, because they are
not.

The utility is great, but it cannot diagnose a typo in the server name, for
example, or the incorrect port setting.

Please copy and paste any error message that you receive, from the account
that fails, into your next post to this thread.

I was also having a problem, mail in the outbox wouldn't send. I downloaded
and ran the utility, which DID clear the outbox, but the messages weren't
sent, they were just dumped. Hours of composition wasted, but at least the
mail is sending again. If you use the utility, make sure you COPY the e-mails
that are stuck, first!

There is no error message, I can see an email sent from account #1 but it
never shows up recevied. I've tried downloading the utility and nothing has
changed yet.

Can you sent a test message to yourself, from one account to the other?

I can send it but the account I'm sending to never receives it. (It does show
up as being sent in my sent box) This is a brand new computer so I don't
think I should have to do the utility thing if that is just freeing
space..I'm uncertain.

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. It provides no
protection not provided by the regular resident protection.
Beside that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail.
