Cannot print on network

I have an odd problem and I cannot find an answer to it.

I cannot add my network printer (Samsung CLP-510N) which is connected to the
network (by ethernet) and every computer using XP can find easily.

On Vista (business) if I go to 'start', than 'network', I see an icon for
CLP-510 but I cannot print, or when I go to add printer the CLP-510 does not
show up (which is my only printer). Can anyone help me? I have installed
every software program known to man from samsung and it can connect to the
printer and tell me the status of the print but Vista does not recognize it
as a printer.
 
I'm having a little trouble following your description, so you'll have to
excuse all questions & assumptions below.

1) I found some software on the samsung web site callled SetIP, which is
from a downloadable executable named "200701311000754703_SetupIP_Vista.exe"
2) I installed this on my Vista test box.
3) Running the appliaction (Start | All Programs | Samsung Network Printer
Utilities | Set IP)

At this point the program doesn't appear to find any printers on the
network, which seems likely since I don't have the printer. Do you see the
printer in this view? If so can you run Setup with the from the Samsung
app? Are you saying that the printer works in this Set IP program, but
doesn't appear in your Printers (Control Panel | Printers) folder?

Some printer vendors use their own protocols to communicate with printers.
I don't have a samsung device at my disposal to test this, but it seems
likely given the evidence at hand. If this assumption is correct, the only
way you're going to get this printer to install is to use the Samsung
software. Using the network view might have the printer show up, but (again
assuming the protocol is different) the printer would fail to install via
the Add Printer wizard and related Window Vista functionality.
