I'm not sure what you are saying here or what your ISP would have to do withJulie said:Sorry for the bother Ace and Kevin and thank you for your response.
I just remembered, it would help if I call my ISP and have them add
my new server to their listings.
Does the ISP host the secondary?Julie said:This will show my ignorance Kevin. My apologies if it does.
I just setup a secondary server in our small company here. I can
ping the IP addresses of both primary server and secondary server.
However, if I ping the FQDN I can only get a response from the
primary server and not the secondary. The message I get from pinging
the secondary's FQDN is:
Ping request could not find host secondary.server.domain.com. Please
check the name and try again.
Am I on the right track calling my ISP provider?
Thanks

another as a Name Server.
Twice also in Reverse lookup. One as a Name Server and another as a
pointer.
