Cannot open

I can't open movie maker because is says:
"Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close"
How can i reinstall it to Windows XP Media Center 2006 when I don't have SP2?

If you do not have WinXP SP2...which
version of Movie Maker are you using?
Which version of IE are you using?

If you right click your My Computer icon
and choose...Properties / General tab...
what does it say just below...System?
