H E L P. I just downloaded MS OFfice Service Paks 1 and 2. Now, whatever Word document I click on will not open. I get a message that the file is not available. Then, when I close (or try to close Word) I get the changes have been made to the Normal.dot template message, and another message that says "the Normal already exists. Do you want to replace the existing Normal?" I've clicked yes and I've clicked no, but the same thing happens. Why did I ever download those things. Help, someone, please. I'm not computer literate.

Hi Hollis,

If it's any help, I called Microsoft support yesterday, spent over an hour on the phone with a support person (in India, would you believe). Together we did many, many things and eventually, we got it to work. My suggestion to you is to call too. At least you can speak with live support, and it's free because it's Microsoft's problem. Good luck.
