I am having an issue with the User Accounts screen. I go
to start/settings/control panel and click on the user
accounts icon and nothing happens. I have tried doing
this using every account on the computer, so admin access
is not the issue. If anyone has an idea, let me know,
either here or by email. Thank you.

I'm having the same/similar problem. I go to the User window and I get a
blank screen.

I would like to delete one of our user accounts but I can't see ANYONE's
accounts through the Control Panel.

I'll be eager to see if anyone has an answer for you.

Try using lusrmgr.msc to open local user and groups Management Console to see if it
works. Look in Event Viewer to see if any error or warnings show up that may be
related. It may help to try booting into safe mode to see if it makes a difference
and if it does you can use msconfig to selectively disable services and applications
to find the one causing a conflict. Another repair option could be to try System
Restore. --- Steve

well, i tried the first suggestion, and i got an error
saying that I could not run that file with Win XP Home
version. I also tried booting in safe mode, and that made
no difference. Same problem, and no evidence of it in the
event log. Any other suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.

I am not that familiar with XP Home but it should have System Restore as I
mentioned and provided a link for. If that does not help you might want to try
an upgrade install by installing while the operating system is running and
putting in the install disk which would also require the product key. If you do
that however the service pack will first need to be installed and then all
critical updates. Of course first make sure you run a full virus scan on it with
the latest virus definitions to make sure the problem is not virus related. Also
run AdAware if you have not used a parasite removal program recently. --- Steve
