I made a video composed of many short AVI files and one MP3 file, and I also
added four short text captions. The entire video amounted to about 3 minutes
and 45 seconds. First, when I tried to save it to my computer, I got a
message about not enough virtual memory on my computer. I closed out of all
my other programs (not that many were open), and also changed the output
size, if that would help, to the middle broadband choice (I forget the
number, sorry). It started to work but it said it would take about 2 hours
and then the numbers kept going up and it stayed at 0% for several minutes.
Being the impatient person I am, I cancelled it and then decided to restart
my computer to see if that would help.
Of course, now the problem is that I open Movie Maker and my collection is
there, but when I go to open the project, it takes FOREVER... like 10
minutes... and then gives me a really vague error message that the program
must terminate, I forget what it says exactly, a runtime error (no number)
and then something about being "abnormal." I would tell you the exact message
but then I'd have to go through the whole process again of waiting ten
minutes for the program to inevitably crash.
Please help!!!! I am using version 2.1. There is about 16 GB of space on my
computer and the file was supposed to be 16 MB uncompressed, or roughly 9.5
MB compressed. The project size is 371 KB. I don't know if any of this means
anything but it seems like it might be a problem with disk space, so I hope
that helps.
