cannot open photos

i cut and pasted photos from one folder to another and now
they do not open, i get a messagge saying file in use. i
moved some other pictures to a different folder and they
worked fine. the details say there is something there but
the viewer says no preview available. if anyone can help
out i would appreciate it.
