Cannot open Outlook when not connected to an Exchange Server

I have a machine which I used to use at an organisation but now need to use
it at home. Outlook was previously set-up to log into the organisation's
exchange server with one or two profiles I was using.

Now when I try to open outlook, I get a dialog box asking for the name of my
exchange server and profile name. Whatever I type, I get the same message:

"Unable to open default e-mail folders. The information store could not be
opened"

Does anyone know how I get around this? I need to use my calendar and
email, etc. I am currently using Outlook express but need to get back to
Outlook and set-up my dsl connections and accounts, etc.

Versions are Windows 2KPro and Outlook 2K

'Control Panel|Mail|Show Profiles', create a new profile without the
Exchange Server service. When finished, select this new profile in the
"When starting Microsoft Outlook, use this profile" window.

Thanks Hal,

Silly of me. It is amazing what you forget when you don't do it for a few
years!

Now I just need to copy/import all my calendar and messages, etc to the new
profile. I am sure this will be straight forward.

Thanks again.

Just point the new profile at the correct PST.
