To the group,
I have a client who is running Outlook 2003 (Office 2003 SBE) on two
identical Windows XP pro systems that were installed in December. The
e-mail accounts are POP3 accounts. Everything has been working perfectly
until yesterday.
On one system, the user cannot open Outlook 2003 regardless of the method
used to do so. The error message reported to me is as follows:
"Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Unable to open the Outlook window. The
set of folders could not be opened. The server not available."
Before I try a repair installation of Outlook 2003, I would appreciate any
ideas you might have as to the root cause of the problem and any fix
routines that you could suggest.
