Cannot open item on an OL2003 calendar

Most people in our office are on OL2000, but there are a small handful of
OL2003 users. Whenever an OL2000 user tries to open an appointment on an
OL2003 calendar (File--open--other user's folder and double-clicking on an
appointment) they get an error: "Cannot open item. Unable to open free/busy
information."

People with 2003 can open appointments on OL2000 and OL2003.

Is there a hot fix for this?
 
SYMPTOMS
When you use the meeting planner to view another person's free/busy time,
you may receive the following error message:
Unable to load free/busy information
CAUSE
This behavior may occur because there is a problem with the other person's
published free/busy information.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, refresh the free/busy information by running
Outlook with the /CleanFreeBusy command-line switch on the computer that is
experiencing problems publishing free/busy information. To do this: 1. Click
Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type outlook.exe /cleanfreebusy.
3. Click OK.
