After setting security, other users (guest, etc.) cannot open Internet
Explorer. Nothing happend w/ ver. 6 and vers. 7.0 attempt to start, doesn't
connect and closes w/no alert. Can start under other users if start as admin
with new owner feature. I must be missing a setting?!?! thanks,
al

Tried the first, but got message: DllRegisterServer in IEPROXY.DLL Failed
Return code 0x80070005
Any other suggestions? please.

thanks,
al

Go to C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer
look for ieproxy.dll
Move it to C:\Windows\Sytem32

Now go to Start | Run and Type
regsvr32 ieproxy.dll
and press <Enter>.
Now try launching IE

Unclicked "Enable 3rd party browser extentions" in advanced settings tab
under each user and seemed to be the fix, thanks, al

Hi,
I would still (if it were my machine) be looking for the incompatible
browser add-on. Disabling all browser extensions is a great diagnostic/first
aid measure, but most add-ons are useful.

Good point, plus that setting is ok as admin. I'll disable one add-on at a
time, maybe I'll find culprit.

Thanks again for the good input,

al

You're welcome. It's usually not that difficult to ID the troublesome
add-on.

I tell ya, something's still wrong, other kids games run as admin but not as
user even with full access to files. Again, can run as admin. under other
user log-in. I'll have to try and find out the overarching cause is.
