After unwittingly and stupidly using the email conversion "Wizard" to move
from attbi to comcast, I can no longer open html links or attached jpgs in
incoming messages. I am using Outlook 2000. Comcast's conversion help desk
solution was to move to Outlook Express. I told them what I thought of that
idea. Comcast tech support was also baffled. I could find no similar
problem listed on the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
When I try to open an HTML link I get a window entitled Locate Link Browser
which prompts me to enter a file name to save the link to My Documents.
Before, Netscape would automatically open the link. As for the JPGs, the
error message I get is The System Cannot Find the File Specified.
Previously, the JPG would open immediately in a viewer window.
Anyone got any thoughts on this?
Thanks,
