Double-clicking on any folder, including My Computer does
nothing. Search works, applications work. I just cannot

Do you have this problem in Safe Mode? If not, use the Msconfig utility from
a system running Windows XP to try to identify the source of the problem. If
the problem occurs in Safe Mode, repair Internet Explorer (from Add/Remove
Programs in the Control Panel). If the problem persists, please post back.
