Cannot open file

I have a 40 page document that I prepared in Works 7.0. I forgot to close
the file when I shut down the computer. Now, when I try to open it I get the
message “Works cannot open ‘C:\Documents and Settings\…..wps’. The file may
be in use by another application, the file format may not be supported by any
of the installed components, or the file may be corrupted.†Can anyone tell
me how to open this file? Thank you.

P.S. Whatever you do, please make a backup copy of the original file,
even though it was corrupted to begin with. It could end up even worst.

you could go to the web site of microsoft and go to their guild me reader and they will assist you directly to their technical support personel online.
