cannot open document in the separate windows

hi, doesn anyone know how to make microsoft word 2000 to
open each document in a separate word windows? it did open
documents in this way before, but now my computer keep
open documents in the same windows, i'm using windows 2000
professional with service pack 4 and microsoft office 2000
without any service pack, any help is appreciated.

Word 2000, then it should be opening each document in a separate window
unless you have installed an add-in such as the one described in this
article. Word 2002 and above have the option to do otherwise.
